A Newton rating is not the complete answer
A gas spring is identified by its nominal force, but the correct application also depends on lid weight, centre of gravity, mounting points, opening angle and the paired mechanism.
Evaluate the complete system
The same force rating may behave differently when lever length or mounting geometry changes. Confirm the number of gas springs and whether the application requires a matched pair.
